Bee and Thistle as Art

I knew when I was photographing the huge thistle with the giant spiky blooms they were going to work out with Fractalius. Here are two of may favorites. I put the originals (no fractalius versions) in my gallery…HERE.

California Wildflowers as Art

I was in California last week and there were zillions of wildflowers in a riot of colors. I liked the way this landscape of flowers looked and so here it is as a painting. You can see the original and all of the rest of my flowers from that trip at my site….HERE.

More Cactus as Art

I have been re-organizing all of my images on to a single DROBO hard drive. Very nice piece of equipment. While I was going through the images, I found this cactus that was in bloom and thought it would make a nice bit of artwork. What do you think?

Garden Flowers as Art

These pictures are from my mother’s garden. She is enormously proud and devoted to her garden. And rightfully so, it is amazing and especially so in the spring. Here are a few of my favorite photographs taken last spring in her garden.

With these images the original images were all keepers, but there is something about these “painted” versions that I find quite appealing.
